Welcome to BYU Speech and Debate
The Brigham Young University Speech and Debate team is a forensics club competing in NPDA and NIDL debate events and AFA speech and drama events. We compete in college tournaments ranging throughout the western United States.
We welcome all BYU students to participate in our practices and competition regardless of skill level or prior experience. Our practices are geared both toward teaching the beginner the are of communication, and honing the skills of an experienced speaker for competition.

•Several members of the team just returned from Wyoming where they were attending a two week long workshop to prepare for the upcoming competition season. more
•Bad News: The BYU Idaho Debate and Utah Valley University (previously UVSC) debate teams have been disbanded. They will be missed.
•Good News: We are pleased to announce out recent partnership with the Kennedy Center for International Studies.
